The program is funded by Department for Communities administered via the Western Health and Social Care Trust, with Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council as the delivery partner.

Developed in collaboration with Neighbourhood Renewal Community Groups and facilitated by Gareth Scott, Health Improvement Officer for Causeway Coast and Glens Council, the programme offers a comprehensive approach to community health and wellbeing.

Mayor of Causeway Coast and Glens, Councillor Ciarán McQuillan said: “The relaunch of this vital health initiative supported by the Department for Communities and Western Health and Social Care Trust, is an exciting and significant milestone for our Sport and Wellbeing team, and their ongoing work within the Limavady area.

Councillor McQuillan, who is supporting MindWise during his term as Mayor is an advocate of metal health support, and continued saying:

“It is fantastic to see a programme like this not only continue but to evolve into a more robust a responsive health initiative, offering greater support to the local community in Limavady. I extend my thanks to all the partner agencies involved in the development and future delivery of this programme.”

Health Development Officer, Gareth Scott, who leads on delivery of the programme for Council said: “The program presents a remarkable opportunity for all stakeholders to contribute positively to both the physical and mental health of our communities.

“After extensive consultation with community groups we have developed a program that addresses the holistic needs of the residents in Limavady.
